Alice Bui

Hi there,

Welcome to my digital corner, where I share my works in learning design, psychology research, personal writing, and photography!

A bit more about myself:

  • M.A. candidate in Learning Design and Technology at Georgetown University

  • B.A. (cum laude) in Education Studies and secondary major in Applied Psychology at New York University (2025)

  • Previous experience in international education, psychology research, and non-profits

But who am I outside of work?

  • I usually go by Alice, but you can also call me Trúc. Trúc [tr’u:’k] literally means bamboo in Vietnamese. The plant bends yet never breaks, standing tall and upright through wind and storm. Trúc embodies resilience and grace, the values that have guided me in life, just as my parents wished for when naming me.

  • My current fixations are running and food. They feed each other in a loop. I’m always looking for recommendations for new music to listen to while running and good places for food!

  • Favorite book at the moment: The Rainbow Troops by Andrea Hirata

Now, feel free to explore my projects below!

My primary expertise and career pursuit are within the learning experience development and instructional design field. The very first moment that sparked my interest in it came from my volunteering experience of tutoring and creating a free online course during the pandemic. From writing my lesson plan for a Math course to facilitating workshops later on in higher education, I learned that design comes in every corner!

I mainly focus on e-learning and content development in various settings: higher education and corporate R&D and employee training. My design thinking process is guided by frameworks such as ADDIE and Interactive Multimodal Learning. My past experience in education research and graphic design also provides me with skills in technical tools. Together, I strive to bring interactive and engaging learning experiences to different audience across subjects.
